Mapcarta is a comprehensive and free interactive atlas and geographic reference featuring about about 7 million world places. Explore the world through Mapcarta's interactive map, taking in stunning aerial views of nearby and far-away places. Registered users can help describe places and leave comments, and add their own places.

Data Sources
Mapcarta uses data from over 30 sources, including the CIA World Factbook, the U.S. Geological Survey, the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, Géographie de Bretagne, GeoNames, Statistische Amt des Kantons Zürich, Infraestructura de Datos Espaciales de España, Istituto Nazionale di Statistica Italia, and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
Privacy Policy
Mapcarta collects information about your use of this site using server access logs and a tracking cookie to better understand how and when our site is used and to help us make Mapcarta more useful. The collected information consists of your IP address, your browser and operating system types, your visit date and time, the pages you visit, and the addresses of pages from which you linked to Mapcarta.
