Madagascar

Madagascar is a country in the Indian Ocean off the eastern coast of Africa. It is known for its particularly unique wildlife and flora. Madagascar split from India approximately 88 million years ago, and as a result of its long isolation it is home to a massive number of unique plant and animal species, with over 90% of its wildlife and 80% of its plants found nowhere else on the planet.

The Seychelles is an island nation in the Indian Ocean, northeast of Madagascar and east of Kenya. It consists of 115 islands, of which the largest are Mahe, Praslin, and La Digue.

Réunion is a French overseas department located in the midst of the Indian Ocean, east of the island of Madagascar and 200 kilometres to the south-west of Mauritius, in East Africa.

Mayotte is an archipelago among the East African Islands, lying in the Indian Ocean channel between Madagascar and Mozambique. It's a French overseas department with a population of 299,348 in 2022.

Europa Island is nowhere near Europe. It is a small atoll off East Africa, about halfway between southern Madagascar and southern Mozambique.
Juan de Nova Island

Juan de Nova Island is an island in the Indian Ocean off East Africa, about one-third of the way from Madagascar to Mozambique. It is part of the French Southern and Antarctic Lands. It has no permanent population.

The Glorioso Islands are a small atoll in the Indian Ocean off East Africa, near Madagascar, part of the French Southern and Antarctic Lands.
Tromelin Island

Tromelin Island is a minor one of the islands of the Indian Ocean, approximately 800 km east of Madagascar and 800 km north of Réunion. It makes up one of the many Scattered islands of the Indian Ocean, which is one of the five administrative districts of the French Southern and Antarctic Lands.
