Central Region

The Central Region is one of the five regions in the city-state of . It is the main metropolitan region surrounding the Central Area. Comprising 132.7 square kilometres of land area, it includes 11 planning areas within the Central Area, as well as another 11 more outside it.

The is a tropical garden located at the fringe of the Orchard Road shopping district in Singapore. It is one of three gardens, and the only tropical garden, to be honoured as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Museum

The is a public dedicated to art, culture and history. Located within the country's at the area, it is the oldest museum in the country, with its history dating back to when it was first established in 1849, starting out as a section of a library at the Singapore Institution as the Raffles Library and Museum.

The Singapore River forms a central artery in 's densely packed Central Business District. The north bank of the river is where Raffles landed and founded his colony, and to this day many central government buildings can be found in the area.
