Newcastle
Newcastle is the third largest city in KwaZulu-Natal with a population of about 508,000. Newcastle is also known as the "New City". Set at the foothills of the northern KwaZulu-Natal Drakensberg Mountains, Newcastle is located in the northwest corner of the province along the Ncandu River and is one of the country's main industrial centres.Photo: Marco Scholtz, Public domain.
