Alkmaar is a historic city in the Province of North Holland in the Netherlands, about 10 km inland from the coast, and 40 km north-west of Amsterdam. The city's population is about 95 000, the whole urban area has about twice that number.
Hoorn

Hoorn is an old city in the Dutch province of North-Holland. Hoorn is well known in the Netherlands for its rich history. Many of the houses in the historical city centre date back to the 17th and 18th centuries, especially in the area north of the harbour.

Enkhuizen

The small city of Enkhuizen is an old Dutch harbour town, and one of the most prominent ones of the Dutch Golden Age. It lost its trade position by the late 17th century, due to the wars with England, the silting of its waters and the rise of Amsterdam, but maintained much of its historic grandeur.

Castricum is a town and municipality in the province of North Holland in the Netherlands, located along the North Sea.
Bergen

Bergen is an artist village and upper-income suburb in North Holland, popular among travellers for its seaside beaches and dunes. A few kilometers further north are the villages of Schoorl and Groet, both near enough to walk from Bergen, with the Schoorlse Duinen nature reserve as its main tourist attraction.

Heerhugowaard is a city in the Netherlands, in the province of North Holland and the region of West Friesland. Heerhugowaard was previously a separate municipality, which merged with the former municipality of Langedijk into the new municipality of Dijk en Waard on 1 January 2022.
