Porto Velho

Porto Velho is the capital of the state of Rondônia in Brazil. At first sight for the traveler, Porto Velho has little to offer but a main street with rather uninteresting shops that can be found anywhere else in Brasil.
Guajará-Mirim

Guajará-Mirim is in the western part of the state of Rondônia in Brazil. It is separated from Bolivia by the Mamoré River. It is the southern terminus of former railroad Estrada de Ferro Madeira-Mamoré.
Vilhena

Vilhena is a town of 102,000 people in Rondônia, Brazil. It has little to offer tourists, but is a nice enough stopover if you are doing the overland route between Porto Velho and Cuiabá.
