Tasman and South East
Tasman and South East is a region to the east of Hobart, in the Australian state of Tasmania. Geographically it forms part of Southern Tasmania. Tasman and South East is really two regions, both sparsely populated and close enough that they are often viewed together - turrakana / Tasman Peninsula, and the South East, roughly corresponding to the Tasman and Sorell local government areas.| Tap on a place to explore it |

Port Arthur

Port Arthur is a small town and former penal settlement on the Tasman Peninsula in Tasmania, the island state of Australia. The town is about one and a half hours drive from the state capital Hobart.
Tasman National Park

Tasman National Park is on the Tasman Peninsula, part of Tasmania near Port Arthur known for its coastal scenery. The park is home to the columnar dolerite cliffs at Cape Pillar and Tasman Island, perched at 300 meters high, these are some of the highest in the world.
Sorell

Sorell is a town in the southeast of Tasmania. It is one of Tasmania's oldest towns, settled in 1808, and officially gazetted in 1821. Sorell has many historic buildings, as well as amenities and accommodation.

Eaglehawk Neck

Teralina / Eaglehawk Neck is the narrow strip of land that marked the northern border of the Port Arthur convict site on the Tasman Peninsula. The 30-meter narrow strip was guarded by dogs to prevent convicts from escaping during the early 19th century – this line is now called The Dog Line, and there is a small museum explaining the historical significance of this narrow strip.
Taranna

Taranna is a small township of 156 on the Tasman Peninsula, about 9 km north of Port Arthur. It's home of the Tasmanian Devil Unzoo, a popular place to see Tasmanian devils.
Nubeena

Nubeena is a small coastal town of 481 on the Tasman Peninsula. It's the closest settlement to the world heritage-listed Coal Mines Historic Site. Nubeena is about 15 km from Port Arthur, the regional centre of the Tasman.
