Seattle

Seattle, Washington sits at one of the most beautiful spots in the United States. Occupying a narrow isthmus between the Puget Sound and Lake Washington, it is the biggest city in the Pacific Northwest, with 780,000 people in Seattle and over four million people in the metro area.
Olympia

Olympia is the capital of Washington State, and the seat of Thurston County in the South Sound region. The small city of 56,000 has a diverse economic base, and is a breeding ground for alternative culture in the Pacific Northwest, having spawned or influenced many of the region's better-known personalities.

Puget Sound is a large semi-enclosed fjord in Washington State, with its northern boundary marked by Admiralty Pass and the Strait of San Juan de Fuca.
North Cascades

The North Cascades are a section of the Cascade Range of western North America. They span the border between the Canadian province of British Columbia and the U.S. state of Washington and are officially named in the U.S. and Canada as the Cascade Mountains.
Columbia River Plateau

The Columbia River Plateau, sometimes called the Columbia River Basin, is a broad plateau in Washington State where the Columbia River rolls its way between the Cascade Mountains and the Rocky Mountain foothills.
Southwest Washington

Southwest Washington is a lush, forested region of Washington State. This part of the state is along north bank of the Columbia River, from where it carves a gorge through the Cascade Mountains, past the busy communities opposite of Portland, to its wide mouth at the Pacific Ocean.

The Olympic Peninsula is a region of Washington state in the far northwestern corner of the contiguous United States. The central Olympic Mountains are framed by the Hood Canal, the Strait of Juan de Fuca, the Pacific Ocean, and the Chehalis River.
