Ooty, short for Ootacamund and officially Udhagamandalam, is a popular hill resort in the state of Tamil Nadu in Southern India. The name Udhagamandalam is derived from the Toda word "othakal-mund" which means "house in mountains".

Coonoor is a famous hill station that is 17 km from Ooty in Tamil Nadu, India. It is probably the second most popular hill station in the Nilgiris. The hill station stands at a height of 1,839 metres and is known for its great picnic spots and picturesque surroundings.

Aruvankadu, is a small town located in the Nilgiris of Tamil Nadu in India between Coonoor and Ooty, at distances 5 km and 12 km respectively. It houses the Cordite Factory, one of the 40 Indian Ordnance Factories, and one of the oldest, established in 1903.

Annur is a city in Tamil Nadu, India about 32 km from Coimbatore. The name Annur came from "Vanniyur", later transformed into Anniyur and now Annur. The myth behind the name goes like, Above 1000 years ago, when a small hunter hit a stone under a "Vanni" tree, it started bleeding.
Topslip
