It is rich in agricultural activities, mostly tea farming and production of African leafy vegetables, and contains a complex of learning institutions including Kaimosi Friends University, Kaimosi Teachers Training College, Kaimosi Theology, Friends College Kaimosi, TVET Institute, as well as primary and high schools. Kaimosi is situated 3½ km north of Musudzu.
