Varkiza

Varkiza, also formerly Alianthos, is a town and a suburb of greater Athens forming part of the municipality of Vari-Voula-Vouliagmeni in southern Attica of the Megalo Daktylo.

The Hellenic Army Academy, commonly known as the Evelpidon, is a military academy. It is the Officer cadet school of the Greek Army and the oldest third-level educational institution in Greece. Hellenic Military Academy is situated 2½ km north of Varkiza.
