Agios Stefanos railway station is a station on the Piraeus–Platy railway line in the northern part of the Athens metropolitan area, in the municipal unit of Agios Stefanos of the municipality of Dionysos, East Attica, Greece. Agios Stefanos railway station is situated 2½ km northwest of Stamata.

Icaria or Ikaria, also known as Icarium or Ikarion, was a deme of ancient Attica on the northeastern slopes of Mount Pentelikon. It holds pride of place due to its prominence in Greek mythology as the place where Icarius, or Ikarios received the god Dionysus, who taught him the art of making wine. Ruins of ancient theater of Icarion Aegeidas (Attica) is situated 4 km southeast of Stamata.
