Romanos

Romanos or Romanou for locals is a village and a community in the municipality Pylos-Nestoras, Messenia, Greece. It is 9 km north of Pylos. It is part of the Nestoras municipal unit.

Voidokilia Beach is a popular beach in Messinia, southern Greece, on the Ionian Sea. In the shape of the Greek letter omega, its sand forms a semicircular strip of dunes.

The Old Navarino castle is a 13th-century Frankish fortress near Pylos, Greece. It is one of two castles guarding the bay on which it sits; the other is the Ottoman-built New Navarino. Old Navarino castle is situated 4 km south of Romanos.

Gialova Lagoon – also known as Divari, from the Latin word vivarium, meaning "fishery" – is a brackish body of water in the municipality of Pylos-Nestor, Greece, about 8 kilometres north of Pylos, near the village of Gialova. Gialova Lagoon is situated 3½ km south of Romanos.

Tragana is a town in the municipality of Trifylia, Messenia in Greece. It is located in the municipal unit of Gargalianoi. An early Bronze age cremation was found there.
