Methoni, formerly Methone or Modon, is a village and a former municipality in Messenia, Peloponnese, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality of Pylos-Nestor, of which it is a municipal unit.

Evangelismos is a town near the southern coast of Messenia, Greece. It is located 10 km southeast of Pylos and 5 km east of Methoni. The town is the main settlement in Evangelismos Community which itself is part of the Methoni municipal unit within the Pylos-Nestor municipality.
