Kritsa

Kritsa is one of the oldest and most picturesque in , Greece, built amphitheatrically on a rock hill, named Kastellos, surrounded by olive groves, at an altitude of 375 m.

The Church of is a Greek Orthodox church located near the village of Kritsa, in the Dikte Mountains, on the island of , . Situated 1 kilometre from Kritsa, the Byzantine-style church contains the finest-preserved Byzantine-era frescoes in Crete, and for that reason, has become one of the most culturally and historically significant churches on the island.
