Vamvakou is a village in Laconia in the Peloponnese, Greece. As of 2021, it had a population of 82. It is notable as the birthplace of the parents of Stavros Niarchos and Ioannis Coumantaros who founded two of Greece's most powerful shipping dynasties. Vamvakou is situated 3½ km southwest of Fourtzátou.

Kastanitsa is a village in Arcadia in Greece, on the southern slope of Mount Parnon. It is considered a traditional settlement. It is noted for its production of chestnuts, from which it takes its name, and for formerly being a majority Tsakonian-speaking settlement. Kastanitsa is situated 6 km east of Fourtzátou.
