Anopolis was a town and polis of ancient Crete. Stephanus of Byzantium claims Anopolis an earlier name of, rather than a predecessor settlement to, Araden Its site is located near modern Anopoli. Ancient Anopolis is situated 2½ km southeast of Arádaina.
