Semera Airport is an airport serving Semera, a city in the Afar Region in northeastern Ethiopia. The airport is on the west side of the village. The former gravel runway was paved and a terminal complex added after 2016. Semera Airport is situated 3½ km north of Samara Mēda.

Samara is the capital of Afar Region, Ethiopia. It is a town on the Awash–Assab highway in north-east Ethiopia, having been planned and built to replace Asaita. Semera is situated 5 km northeast of Samara Mēda.
