Abydos

Shunet El Zebib, alternatively named Shuneh and Middle Fort, is a large mudbrick structure located at Abydos in Upper Egypt. The edifice dates to the Second Dynasty, and was built by the ancient Egyptian king Khasekhemwy. Shunet El Zebib is situated 350 metres south of Dayr as Sitt Dimyānah.
Kom El Sultan

The area now known as Kom El Sultan is located in north Abydos, in Egypt. The most prominent feature of the area is the remains of a great mud brick temenos wall enclosing roughly 76,800 square meters of land. Kom El Sultan is situated 420 metres east of Dayr as Sitt Dimyānah.
