Abu Suweir Air Base

Abu Suweir Air Base is an Egyptian Air Force base, located approximately 17.1 kilometres west of Ismailia and 116 kilometres northeast of Cairo. It is positioned for strategic defence of the Suez Canal waterway. Abu Suweir Air Base is situated 3½ km northeast of Pithom.
Tell el-Maschuta
Archaeological site
Tell el-Maschuta - either the ancient Egyptian Per Tem/Pi-Tem or Tjeku - is located in the Wadi Tumilat region in the eastern Nile Delta about 16 kilometers west of Ismailia and about 18 kilometers east of Tell er-Retaba. Tell el-Maschuta is situated 3 km east of Pithom.
