Sheneset-Chenoboskion (al-Qasr wa as-Sayyad)
Locality
al-Qasr wa as-Sayyad is a village in Nag Hammadi district of Qena Governorate, Egypt. An early center of Christianity in the Thebaid, Roman Egypt, a site frequented by Desert Fathers from the 3rd century and the site of a monastery from the 4th, it was earlier known as Chenoboskion, also called Chenoboscium, Chenoboskia and Sheneset. Sheneset-Chenoboskion (al-Qasr wa as-Sayyad) is situated 6 km west of Naj‘ al Jazīrah al Qiblī.
Fau Qibli
Village
Pbow was a cenobitic monastery established by St. Pachomius in 336-337 AD. Pbow is about 100 km north of Luxor in modern Upper Egypt. It was one of the nine Pachomian monasteries. Fau Qibli is situated 6 km northeast of Naj‘ al Jazīrah al Qiblī.
