Cairo Governorate
Cairo is one of the 27 governorates of Egypt. It consists of the city of Cairo, both the capital city of Egypt and the governorate capital, in addition to six satellite cities: The New Capital, which became the official seat of national government in April 2024, New Cairo, a suburban satellite city built in the 2000s, El Shorouk, Badr, Capital Gardens, and 15th of May.

New Heliopolis is a large 5400-acre real estate development, it is a part of El Shorouk City, Cairo Governorate, Egypt. Land for the development was allocated by the Presidential Decree 193/1995 to the Heliopolis Company for Housing and Development, making it the company's largest land allocation since it bought its original 6100-acre plot to build the Heliopolis Oasis in 1905. New Heliopolis is situated 9 km northeast of Cairo Governorate.
