El Kureimat Power Plant is a gas power plant suitated in Egypt. It uses natural gas and mazout as the fuel. The contract also includes several modernisation and upgrade measures for the eight gas turbines at three power stations. El Kureimat power plant is situated 3½ km southeast of Al Kuraymāt.

Meidum, Maydum or Maidum is an archaeological site in Lower Egypt. It contains a large pyramid and several mudbrick mastabas. The pyramid was Egypt's first straight-sided one, but it partially collapsed in ancient times. Meidoum is situated 10 km northwest of Al Kuraymāt.
