Kabale City is a city in the Western Region of Uganda. It is the main city of Kabale District, and the district headquarters are located at Makanga hills. It is sometimes nicknamed "Kastone" as in the local Rukiga language, a "kabale" is a small stone.

Bufuka Village lies on the eastern coast of Lake Bunyonyi, in Kigezi sub-region seven kilometres out of Kabale town, southwestern Uganda. It is a village of 350 people and has three islands under its jurisdiction. Bufuka is situated 6 km west of Kabale District.
