Əskipara is a village and municipality in the Tartar District of Azerbaijan. It has a population of 1,029. Tartar is a city in and the capital of the Tartar District of Azerbaijan. Its population is approximately 18,200, as of 2008. During the Russian Empire, the city was the administrative center of the Jevanshir Uyezd of the Elisabethpol Governorate. Tǝrtǝr is situated 4 km northwest of Əskipara.

Gyzyloba or Karmiravan is a village in the Aghdara District of Azerbaijan, in the disputed region of Nagorno-Karabakh. The village was on the ceasefire line between the armed forces of the breakaway Republic of Artsakh and those of Azerbaijan. Giziloba is situated 6 km south of Əskipara.

Maragha or Shikharkh, formerly known as Leninavan, is a town in the Aghdara District of Azerbaijan, in the disputed region of Nagorno-Karabakh. The town had an ethnic Armenian-majority population in 1989, which had the status of a village at the time. Maragha is situated 6 km northwest of Əskipara.
