Comuna Volovăţ

Volovăț is a commune located in Suceava County, in the historical region of Bukovina, northeastern Romania. It is composed of a single village, namely Volovăț, and also included the village of Burla until 2004, when it was split off to form a separate commune.

Bogdana Monastery is a Romanian Orthodox monastery in the town of Rădăuți, northern Romania. Its church is the oldest still standing religious building in Moldavia. The monastery was built by Bogdan I of Moldavia sometime around 1360. Bogdana Monastery is situated 4½ km northeast of Comuna Volovăţ.
