Bâlea Lake
Bâlea Lake is a glacier lake situated at an altitude of 2,034 m in the Făgăraș Mountains, in central Romania, near Cârțișoara, Sibiu County. There are two chalets opened all year round, a meteorological station, and a mountain rescue station.| Tap on a place to explore it |

Vânătarea lui Buteanu, at 2,507 metres, is the eighth-highest peak in Romania and the fifth-highest peak from Făgăraș Mountains, after Moldoveanu, Negoiu, Viștea Mare and Lespezi.
