Staromarivka, originally Mariental until 2 June 1945, is a village in Volnovakha in Donetsk Oblast of eastern Ukraine. It is on the left bank of the Kalmius river, just south of the town of Hranitne, which is on the other side of the river. Staromarivka is situated 5 km north of Barbasov.

Hranitne is a village in Volnovakha Raion in the Donetsk Oblast of eastern Ukraine. The village is situated on the right bank of the Kalmius river. The much smaller village of Staromarivka is just to the south, but on the other side of the river. Granitnoye is situated 7 km north of Barbasov.
