Szabadkígyós is a village in Békés County, in the Southern Great Plain region of south-east Hungary. The main historic building is Wenckheim palace, ancestral home of Béla von Wenckheim, who served as Prime Minister of Hungary. Szabadkígyós is situated 10 km east of Csabaszabadi.
