The Alexandrion, a building of the international "Alexander the Great Institute", is a private institution of Greek Macedonians living abroad. These Greeks, originating from Macedonia, had the idea to erect a monument in their homeland, at the foot of Mount Olympus, near the Temple of Zeus in Dion, a symbol of their bond with their homeland, and at the same time a place of encounter.

The Archaeological Museum of Dion is a museum in Dion in the Pieria regional unit of Central Macedonia, Greece. The museum was established in 1983 to display excavations unearthed in the area from a fortified city that once stood in its place from the 6th century BC to the 5th century AD. Archaeological Museum of Dion is situated 3½ km northwest of Mavrólongos Réma.
