Kukës is a town of 36,000 people in Northeastern Albania, and the last one before the Kosovo border. The surrounding area is dominated by mountainous and high terrain. Kukës is a good centre for fishing and walking in the surrounding mountains.

Kodër-Lumë is a village in the former Shtiqën municipality, Kukës County, Albania. At the 2015 local government reform it became part of the municipality Kukës. Kodër-Lumë is situated 5 km south of Gjinaj.
