Taivassalo is a municipality of Finland, about 50 kilometres from the city of Turku. It is located in the Southwest Finland region. The municipality has a population of 1,722 and covers an area of 217.68 square kilometres of which 77.23 km2 is water. Taivassalo is situated 4½ km west of Rahkio.

Askainen is a former municipality of Finland. Together with Lemu, it was consolidated with Masku on January 1, 2009. It is located in southwestern part of the country in the Varsinais-Suomi region. Askainen is situated 10 km east of Rahkio.
