The Armenian Nuclear Power Plant, also known as the Metsamor Nuclear Power Plant, is the only nuclear power plant in the South Caucasus, located 36 kilometers west of Yerevan in Armenia. Metsamor Nuclear Power Plant is situated 760 metres northeast of Stantsiya Arshaluys.

Aknalich is a village in the Armavir Province of Armenia. The village is situated on a lake, after which it is named, to the east of Metsamor. Aknalich village is the site of the only Yazidi temple in Armenia. Aknalich is situated 4 km south of Stantsiya Arshaluys.
