The Cathedral of Avan is a ruined late 6th-century church located in the Avan District of Yerevan, the capital of Armenia. It is the oldest surviving church inside Yerevan's city limits, and earliest dated example of tetraconch church.

Avan is one of the 12 districts of Yerevan, the capital of Armenia. Originally an ancient village on a hill at the northeastern outskirts of Yerevan, Avan has been inhabited since pre-Christian times.
