, also known as Mafikeng and Mafeking, is a town of 15,000 people in , South Africa. The town has many resorts, popular around the summer season. It is famous for the Siege of Mafeking, in which Robert Baden-Powell rose to fame.

Suburb
is the former capital of the North-West Province of . During the apartheid era, it was the capital of the former "Bantustan" of Bophuthatswana, separated from the adjacent Mafeking which temporarily remained outside Bophuthatswana. is situated 7 km west of Lanric.
