National Capital Territory of Delhi

Delhi, officially the National Capital Territory of Delhi, is a megacity and a union territory of India containing , the capital of India. Straddling the river, but spread chiefly to the west, or beyond its right bank, Delhi shares borders with the state of in the east and with the state of in the remaining directions.

The Red Fort is a historic Mughal fort located in the Old Delhi area of , India. It served as the main residence of the Mughal emperors. Commissioned by Emperor Shah Jahan on the 12th of May 1639, the fort was constructed following his decision to shift the Mughal capital from to Delhi.
