Cachar
Cachar district is an administrative district in the state of Assam in India. After independence, the pre-existing undivided Cachar district was split into four districts: Dima Hasao, Hailakandi, Karimganj, and the current Cachar district. Silchar Medical College and Hospital, established in 1960, is a government-run medical and hospital located in Silchar, southern Assam. It is one of the oldest medical college of North East India. Silchar Medical College and Hospital is situated 6 km west of Cachar.
