Gartok

Gartok, now called Garyarsa, is a trade-market of , situated on the bank of the on the road between and , to the east of . At an elevation of 14,630 ft, it is located at the base of the ; it was formerly the main town and summer capital of western Tibet, and its administrator was called the Garpön.
