Pemagatshel District

Pemagatshel District is one of the 20 Dzongkhags in . Until 1970 the district was known as Khoi Dung. Dudjom Rinpoche named the district Pemagatshel which translates to "Blissful Land of the Lotus"- Pema means the Lotus and gatshel is blissful land.
