Orchid Island
Orchid Island, known as Pongso no Tao by the indigenous Tao people, is a 45 km2 volcanic island located off the southeastern coast of Taiwan. The island and the nearby Lesser Orchid Island are governed by Taiwan as Lanyu Township in Taitung County, which is one of the county's two insular townships.Places of Interest

The Lanyu Power Plant is a fuel-fired power plant in Yuren Village, Orchid Island, Taitung County, Taiwan. It is the only power plant on Orchid Island. Lanyu Power Plant is situated 3 km south of Orchid Island.
