Xizhimen
Xizhimen was a gate in the Beijing city wall and is now a transportation node in Beijing. The gate was the entrance of drinking water for the Emperor, coming from the Jade Spring Hills to the west of Beijing. The gate was demolished in 1969.Photo: Wikimedia, Public domain.

The Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, more often colloquially referred to as Xizhimen Church, is a Roman Catholic church located on the southern side at No. 130 of Xizhimen Neidajie in Beijing. It is commonly referred to as Xitang to the locals. Our Lady of Mount Carmel (West Church is situated 1 km east of Xizhimen.

Beijing Zoo is a zoological park in Xizhimen, Xicheng District, Beijing. Founded in 1906 during the late Qing dynasty, it is the oldest zoo in China and oldest public park in northern China. Beijing Zoo is situated 2 km west of Xizhimen.

Xinjiekou is a subdistrict of Xicheng District of Beijing, China. As of 2020, the subdistrict has a total population of 84,866. The subdistrict got its name from a section of road on the eastern portion of Xizhimennei Avenue, which used to be a river port but underwent land reclamation in 1438.
