Beijing Nanyuan Airport was a People's Liberation Army Air Force Base and a secondary commercial airport of Beijing, the capital of China. Located in Fengtai District, 3 km south of the 4th Ring Road and 13 km from Tiananmen Square, Nanyuan Airport was first opened in 1910, making it the oldest airport in China. Beijing Nanyuan Airport is situated 4 km east of Xihongmen.

Xihong Men Station is a station on the Daxing line of the Beijing Subway. Due to lack of space, the station is the only station on the Daxing Line to be an elevated station.

It is located on the southeastern corner of Fengtai, neighbors Heyi Subdistrict and Nanyuan Township to the north, Donggaodi Subdistrict and Jiugong Township to the east, Xihongmen Township to the south, and Nanyuan Township to the west. Nanyuan Subdistrict is situated 3 km northeast of Xihongmen.

It borders Xihongmen Town to its north, Guanyinsi Subdistrict to its east, Qingyuan Subdistrict to its south, as well as Huangcun Town and Huaxiang Subdistrict to its west. Gaomidian is situated 4 km southwest of Xihongmen.
