Jianshui County is a division of Honghe Prefecture in Southeastern Yunnan. Numerous temples, traditional residences, bridges and other historic sites survive in and around the old town, making Jianshui a useful stop on an overland journey between Kunming and Hekou, on the border with Vietnam.
