The Tin Hau Temple in Joss House Bay, sometimes referred to as Tai Miu, is Hong Kong's oldest and largest Tin Hau Temple. It is also said to be the most popular Tin Hau temple both for fishermen and for others in Hong Kong.

Siu Sai Wan is a residential area in the northeastern part of Hong Kong Island in Hong Kong. It is located in the eastern part of Chai Wan, and is administratively under the Eastern District. The population was 59,729 in June 2011. Siu Sai Wan is situated 3½ km west of Joss House Bay.

Big Wave Bay or Tai Long Wan is a bay in the Southern District of Hong Kong. It is located on the eastern coast of Hong Kong Island, south of Cape Collinson and north of Shek O. This bay should not be confused with the bay with the same name in Sai Kung. Tai Long Wan is situated 4½ km southwest of Joss House Bay.
