Heping District is a mountain indigenous district in eastern Taichung, Taiwan, and it is the largest district of Taichung City. It is also the largest district in Taiwan by area. It is the center of population of Taiwan. Heping District is situated 2½ km southeast of Wuyaokeng.

Xinshe District is a rural district in Taichung, Taiwan. It is also called "Taichung's back garden". The city is home to many military bases. However, the district's hillside houses were destroyed by 1999 Chi-Chi earthquake. Xinshe District is situated 7 km northwest of Wuyaokeng.
