Jong Il Peak is one of the peaks of Mount Sobaek, south-east of Paektu Mountain. The height is 5,899 ft. It is located near the shore of Sobaek Stream, in Samjiyon County, Ryanggang Province, North Korea.
Paektusan Secret Camp Revolutionary Historic Site

The Paektusan Secret Camp is claimed to be a former military base on Mount Paektu, and the claimed birthplace of Kim Jong-Il, though other sources report he was born in the Soviet Union.
