Tomioka

Tomioka Station is a railway station in the town of Tomioka, Fukushima, Japan, operated by the East Japan Railway Company. Built in 1898, the station was destroyed by a tsunami in March 2011, and reopened six years later in October 2017.

The Fukushima Daini Nuclear Power Plant is a nuclear power plant located on a 150 ha site in the town of Naraha and Tomioka in the Futaba District of Fukushima Prefecture, Japan. Fukushima Daini Nuclear Power Plant is situated 2½ km south of Tomioka Gawa.

Tomioka is a town of about 1300 inhabitants in Fukushima prefecture, just off the Japanese east coast. These days its claim to fame, or maybe infamy is the nearby Fukushima nuclear power plant damaged by the massive 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami.

Naraha is a town located in Fukushima Prefecture, Japan. As of 1 July 2024, the town had an official registered population of 6,465 in 3,182 households, and a population density of 65 persons per km2, although the current actual resident population is significantly smaller. Naraha is situated 7 km southwest of Tomioka Gawa.

Okuma

Ōkuma is a town located in Fukushima Prefecture, Japan. In 2010, the town had a population of 11,515. However, the town was totally evacuated in the aftermath of the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster and residents were permitted return during daylight hours from May 2013. Okuma is situated 8 km northwest of Tomioka Gawa.
