Pāpāwai is a historic settlement and marae located near Greytown, New Zealand. In the late 19th century, the marae was an important site of Te Kotahitanga, the Māori parliament movement.

Greytown, is a rural town in the South Wairarapa District in the lower North Island of New Zealand. It is 77 km by road north-east of Wellington and 24 km southwest of Masterton, travelling via State Highway 2. Greytown is situated 4 km northwest of Waiohine River.
