Maromaku is a locality in the Northland Region of the North Island of New Zealand. Kawakawa is north, and Towai is southeast. State Highway 1 runs past Maromaku to the north, and the North Auckland Line runs through it. Maromaku is situated 3½ km northwest of Towai.

Hūkerenui is a settlement in Northland, New Zealand. State Highway 1 passes through the area. Kawakawa is northwest, and Hikurangi is southeast. The New Zealand Ministry for Culture and Heritage gives a translation of "large cascade" for Hukerenui. Hūkerenui is situated 6 km east of Towai.
