Harewood is a northwestern suburb of Christchurch, New Zealand. The suburb is split by State Highway 1, with the bulk of Harewood's residential areas to the east of the highway and its industrial areas to the west. Harewood is situated 3½ km southeast of Templars Island.

Eyreton, originally known as Eyretown, is a small village in the Canterbury region of New Zealand's South Island. It is named after Edward John Eyre, who at one time was the lieutenant governor of the South Island. Eyreton is situated 4 km north of Templars Island.

McLeans Island

Locality

McLeans Island is a rural area north and northwest of Christchurch city, and south of Waimakariri River. The area was an island in the Waimakariri River until the 1930s, when flood control measures and Great Depression work schemes blocked the south branch of the river which separated the island from the south bank. McLeans Island is situated 5 km southwest of Templars Island.
